Vance Families: Are you the parent/guardian of a child with special needs? Are you interested in meeting up with other parents who are having similar experiences? Give Five Read Five

We are still in need of books for our Give Five Read Five program.  You can read more about the program here.  We are in dire need of books for students in grades 4-5.  If you have books you would like to donate, send them with your child or drop them off in the front office.

Kindergarten Orientation

Orientation for 2013-2014 Kindergarten students will be held on
Thursday, May 23rd, at 6:30pm. 

Kindergarten Registration

Registration for incoming Kindergarten students is available from 9:00am-3:00pm Monday thru Friday on days when school is in session. 

You will need all of the following to register:

-> A certified copy of your child's birth certificate
-> An immunization record for the child
-> Proof of residence (electric, water, or gas bill, rental agreement, or settlement statement from closing).  Telephone, cable bills, driver's  license are not accepted for proof of residence.
->Photo ID of the parent

The Media Center Needs Help!

Mrs. King needs assistance with shelving books, book repair, circulating books to students, and preparing books for circulation- if you are good at wrapping presents, you will be great for preparing books for circulation!

WCPSS Approves 2013-2014 Calendar Change for Vance Elementary

The 2013-2014 WCPSS assignment plan that was approved by the board of education on December 11, 2012 will bring big changes to Vance Elementary! Under the new plan Vance will become a single track, year-round school. All students will be assigned to track 4.   A link to the 2013-2014 year-round calendar can be accessed below.
